Our Vision
Our Mission

Reaching, Restoring,
Reviving and Releasing
people to impact their World
for Jesus Christ !
The purpose of Restoration Church Gaffney is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ
in such a way that it turns non-Christians into Christians- (REACHING),
converts into faithful, mature and fruitful believers-(RESTORING),
who are set on fire by the power of the Holy Ghost- (REVIVING),
so they can go into the world and reach others for Christ- (RELEASING).
What we believe and why we believe it

The Bible
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the
only infallible rule of faith and conduct. It was written by human authors,
under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.
(Ps. 19:7-11; Prov. 30:5; 2 Tim. 3:16)

God
We believe in one God who is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.
He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Gen. 1:26; Matt.3:16,17 & 28:19)

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, the 2nd person of the Trinity.
On earth he was 100% God and 100% man. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life,
His miracles, His atoning death on the cross and His bodily resurrection. He ascended to heaven
and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
(Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6; Luke 1:26-35;John 1: 1-5, 14; Phil, 2:5-12; 1 Tim.2:5 & 3:16)

Holy Spirit
We believe the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict people of sin,
save and indwell the repentant believer, guide true believers in all truth and to give spiritual gifts.
We believe that the operation of spiritual gifts and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all
believers as promised. The purpose of spiritual gifts is to build and sanctify the Church and
confirm the power of the Gospel. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation
of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and
should never be used in violation of biblical guidelines.(Matt. 3:11; Luke 11: 13; John 7:37-39; 14:16,17;
16:7-14 Acts 1:5,8; 2:14; 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47; 19:16, Rom. 1:11; 12:48; 1 Cor. 12:1-31 & 14:1-40;
Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6; Heb. 2:1-4, 1 Pet. 4:10)

Human Beings
We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis.
In his natural state man is a sinner, lost, without hope and unable to obtain righteousness.
(Rom. 3:19 23; 5:12,18; Eph. 2:13,12)

Salvation
We believe salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it by faith.
First, there must be repentance from sin and then faith toward Jesus Christ.
Righteousness results from our faith in the blood of Jesus that was shed for us and is totally separate
from our works. (John 14:6; Acts 3:19; 4:12; Rom. 3:23; 5:1-2 1; 6:23; 2 Cor, 5:21; Eph. 2:8,9)

Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing through faith and that healing is included in the
atonement. Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus,
and included in Jesus' commission to His disciples.
(Ps. 103:2,3: Isaiah 53:5; Matt. 8:16,17; Mark 16:17,18;
Acts 8:6,7; 1 Cor. 12:9,28; James 5:14,15; 1 Pet, 2:24)

Ordinances
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit who is the Lord Jesus Christ. This was commanded by Jesus for all who believed
in Him. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; 10:48; 19:5; Rom. 6:3-7; Col. 3:11-15)
We believe in observing the Lord's Supper as a memorial to Jesus' death, resurrection and second coming.
(Luke 22:13-22; 1 Cor. 11:23-32)

Second Coming
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus to rapture His church, in the resurrection
of the dead, the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of Satan, his angels, and the lost
Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of all believers. Hell is the place where all who reject
Jesus will be eternally, consciously, tormented with the devil and the fallen angels
.(Matt. 24:30-3 1; 25:41, John 5:24; 1 Cor. 15:42- 44 & 50-58; 1 Thes. 4:13-18;
2 Thes. 1:7-10; Heb. 9:27; Rev. 20:4-6 & I I-15; 21:8)

Why We Worship The Way We Do
Our worship is based upon the Bible. The following questions/answers
will help you understand what the Bible says about worship.

Why Do We Worship God?
*You shall WORSHIP the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve*(Matt. 4:10b)

How Should We Worship God?
*But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father
in Spirit and in Truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH*
(John 4:23-24) *For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, rejoice in
Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh* (Phil. 3:3)

Why Do We Stand To Sing?
*Then the Levites.. of the children of the Korahites, STOOD UP to praise the LORD God
Of Israel with voices loud and high*(2 Chron. 20:19).*After these things I looked, and
behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples
and tongues, STANDING before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying,
*Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb* (Rev. 7-9-10).

Why Do We Clap Our Hands?
*OH CLAP YOUR HANDS, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph* (Psalm 47:1)

Why Do We Lift Our Hands?
*Thus I will bless you while I live; I will LIFT UP MY HANDS in Your name* (Ps. 63:4).
*LIFT UP YOUR HANDS in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD* (Ps. 134:2).
*Therefore I desire that men pray everywhere, LIFTING UP HOLY HANDS,
without wrath and doubting* (1 Tim. 2:8).

Why Do We Have Audible Praise Unto God?
*Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name* (Ps. 103:1). *Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the FRUIT OF OUR LIPS, giving thanks to His name* (Heb. 13:15). *After these things I heard a LOUD VOICE of a great multitude in heaven, saying, *Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God**And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound mighty thunderings, saying, *Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns** (Rev. 19:1,6).

Why Do We Sing Choruses As Well As Hymns?
*And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another is psalms and hymns and SPIRITUAL SONGS, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord* (Eph.5:18-19).

Why Do We Sing In Tongues And In English?
*For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful, what is the result then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding.
I WILL SING WITH THE SPIRIT, and I will also sing with the understanding* (1 Cor. 14:14-15
).

Why We Worship the Way We Do

Why Do We Have Speaking in unknown Tongues and
The interpretation in the Church?

*Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy,
and do not FORBID to speak with tongues* (1 Cor. 14:39).
*But the MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT is given to each one for the profit of all*
To another DIFFERENT KINDS OF TONGUES. To another the INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES *

(1 Corn. 2:7,10). *I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied;
for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues,

UNLESS INDEED HE INERPETS, that the church may receive edification
* (1 Cor. 14:5). *If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three,
each in turn, and LET ONE INTERPRET*
(1 Cor. 14:27).

Thus Saith the Lord*

What is Prophecy and Why Do WE Prophesy?
*But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men*
(1 Cor. 14:3). Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts,
but especially that you may prophesy* (1 Cor. 14:1).)

Why Do We Dance During The Praise & Worship?
*You have turned my mourning into DANCING*you have clothed me with gladness*
(Ps. 30:11). *Let them praise His name with the DANCE** (Ps. 149:3a).
*Then David DANCED before the LORD with all his might** (2 Sam. 6:14).

Why Are Musical Instruments A Part of The Service?
*Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and Harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with clashing cymbals*
(Ps. 150:3-5). *And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the
voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists PLAYING THEIR HARPS* (Rev. 14:2).

Why Does the Whole Church Pray At Once For Specific Needs?
*So when they heard that, THEY RAISED THEIR VOICE TO GOD WITH ONE ACCORD and said: *Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them*
(Acts 4:24).

Why Do We Receive Tithes and Offerings?
*Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now this,* says the LORD of hosts, *if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it* (Mal. 3:10). *Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into you bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you* (Luke 6:38). *Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you* (Deut. 16:17).
